Chicago Law Updates 2025 Midyear
Beginning July 1, 2025, Chicago will have the following updates:
For employers with 4+ employees, the minimum hourly wage will increase to $16.60.
The threshold for coverage under the Fair Workweek Ordinance will increase to $62,561.90 per year for salaried or $32.60 per hour for hourly employees.
Employers with 51 or more employees will be required to pay out all unused, accrued paid leave (PL) at termination (paid sick leave does not need to be paid out).
